We have expanded on the traditional Men’s Shed activity of wood working with a range of “quiet” activities to stimulate those so inclined .....
In our Bonanza Road building we continue to enjoy wood (and metal) working in a workshop fitted out with individual workbenches, an array of hand and powered tools, and large powered equipment. The Workshop has an extensive dust collection and micro air particle exhaust systems to keep things ship-shape and the guys happy.
A very short walk from the noise of the Workshop, our Wells Road building caters for those preferring the quieter social and recreational pursuits. There is a comfortable lounge area with large screen TV, a library containing books, magazines, computers with internet access. The well equipped kitchen provides the guys with a great cuppa (and cake if lucky!) at the morning break.
We also have guys with specific interests such as card playing, art, golf, gardening, snooker/pool, movies and 3D Printing. They meet regularly to get involved in their 'thing'.
We have monthly guest speakers on a broad range of subjects of interest to members.
This is usually followed by a Shed BBQ lunch to promote social interaction.
Prospective members are invited to drop in to inspect the facilities and meet some of the members. But please contact the Secretary prior to make arrangements.
